About District 33K

Over two thousand men and women are joined together in service to humanity in 48 Lions clubs in the greater Boston Metropolitan area. The Lions of District 33K, the Home of the Lion Hearted since 1937, have been working to make Helen Keller's dream of a world without the darkness of the blind come true.

Since 1952, the Lions of District 33K have given over $4.3 million dollars to help eliminate blindness. Last year alone, the Lions of District 33K raised over $245, 000 for Massachusetts Lions Eye Research. These funds will be granted to a number of greater Boston research facilities to help cure and eliminate the causes of blindness.

In addition, these dedicated Lions are giving their time and talents for the betterment of their communities. These Lions of 33K will donate many more thousands of dollars within their communities in the form of scholarships, beautification projects, and assistance to those in need, and to help many youth projects. They will lend a helping hand when called upon to do so and are always there - ready, willing and able to serve.

They are the Lion Hearted.
